Porcelain Veneers
Custom-crafted ceramic for lasting smile design
Veneers in Maspeth, Queens
Refined cosmetic dentistry designed to improve smile harmony, confidence, and natural-looking aesthetics.
Porcelain veneers are custom-crafted ceramic shells designed and bonded to the front of your teeth to refine color, shape, length, symmetry, and overall smile harmony. At SOL Dental Arts in Maspeth, Queens, veneers are planned as fully personalized smile design — never a generic Hollywood look — by Columbia University-trained dentists Dr. Arthur Volker, DDS and Dr. Aadel Soleymani, DDS.
When Porcelain Veneers Make Sense
Patients typically choose porcelain veneers when they want a long-lasting, stain-resistant cosmetic improvement that handles multiple issues at once — stubborn discoloration that whitening can’t correct, worn or chipped enamel, small gaps, undersized or peg-shaped lateral incisors, slight misalignment, or teeth that look uneven in shape or length. Because porcelain veneers are fabricated outside the mouth from high-strength ceramic, they let us redesign the visible front teeth with a level of precision and durability that direct techniques can’t fully match.
Porcelain vs. Composite Veneers
Both options can deliver a beautiful smile, and we offer both at SOL Dental Arts. Porcelain veneers are custom milled or layered in a dental lab, last 10–15+ years, resist staining from coffee and wine, and offer the most refined cosmetic outcome — but require a small, conservative amount of enamel preparation. Composite (“same-day”) veneers are sculpted directly onto the tooth using tooth-colored resin in a single visit, cost less, are reversible, and typically last 5–8 years. The right choice depends on your goals, bite, enamel, and budget — something we walk through carefully at your consultation.
Minimally Invasive Veneer Planning
Our practice is built around the principle that the healthiest tooth is the one we leave alone. That shapes how we plan veneer cases: we routinely recommend no-prep or minimal-prep veneers when the case allows, use bonded ceramic restorations instead of full crowns where there’s enough healthy tooth structure, and steer patients toward composite bonding first when bonding can achieve the result. Dr. Volker is a Diplomate of the World Congress of Minimally Invasive Dentistry, and that philosophy is reflected in every smile design we deliver.
What to Expect: Step-by-Step Veneer Treatment
Visit 1 — Smile design consultation. We discuss your goals, photograph your smile from multiple angles, evaluate your bite, and present a tailored treatment plan with transparent pricing. For many cases we mock up the proposed shape in composite or design a digital preview so you can see the projected outcome before committing.
Visit 2 — Preparation and digital impression. Any necessary minimal enamel preparation is done conservatively, and we take a precision digital scan that goes to our in-house CAD/CAM lab or partnered ceramist.
Visit 3 — Bonding. Your custom veneers are checked for color, shape, and fit, then permanently bonded in place. We adjust the bite, polish, and review home care.
Caring for Your Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain veneers don’t need exotic care — routine brushing twice daily, daily flossing, regular professional cleanings, and avoiding habits that crack natural teeth (biting fingernails, chewing ice, opening packages with your teeth). If you grind or clench at night, a custom-fit night guard is the single most important investment you can make to protect a veneer case for the long run. We make these in-house and provide them to most veneer patients as part of the treatment plan.

Information on Cosmetic Services offered
What Cosmetic Dentistry Can Improve?
Cosmetic dentistry may be used to address a wide range of aesthetic concerns, including chipped teeth, worn edges, uneven tooth shape, discoloration, spacing, small lateral incisors, asymmetry, and smiles that no longer feel as polished or youthful as they once did. In many cases, improvement is achieved through conservative treatment planning that enhances the smile while respecting natural anatomy.
Our Approach to Smile Enhancement
At SOL Dental Arts, cosmetic treatment is planned with attention to proportion, translucency, contour, smile line, and facial harmony. We evaluate not only how the teeth look individually, but how they work together within the smile as a whole. This allows us to recommend treatment that feels elegant, refined, and appropriate for the individual patient rather than generic or overdone.
Treatment Options That May Be Included
Depending on the case, cosmetic dentistry may involve composite bonding, veneers, whitening, selective contouring, replacement of failing bonding, or a more comprehensive smile refinement plan. Some patients benefit from a small enhancement to one or two teeth, while others may be candidates for a broader treatment approach designed to improve the overall balance of the smile.
